The Officers of the Midwest Cruisers are sorry to announce that the Club will go inactive at the end of the 2010 cruise season. The Club will retain its’ Service Mark with the State of Illinois regarding it’s name and logo with the intent of restarting the Club at a future date. The Officers would like to thank all past and present members for their help in creating a very unique car club that raised a total of more than $19000.00 for various charities since 2006. A last donation of $1200.00 will be distributed between the Special Olympics and the Heart of Illinois Down Syndrome Association with each receiving $600.00. The Officers hope that you have had as much fun coming to our cruises as we have had working to set them up for you.

We have two scheduled cruises this weekend with the Brick Oven cruise on Friday night and the hugely popular Metamora SuperCruise on the Square this Saturday night. The Metamora cruise will feature great food and music with a Broken Mojo playing live and a Scott Ireland providing the music when Mojo isn’t. Proceeds from the Metamora cruise will go to Emergency 116 rescue squad. Come on out and enjoy the cruises with us this weekend!

This Friday, June 18th, we will be at Grace Church in Morton which is located at 1325 E. Jefferson Street, from 6 to 9pm. If you or anyone in the club would be interested in enjoying the great food, please contact the church office to reserve your tickets ($9 each). The office phone number is 266-9281. . Normally, we prefer pre-payment, but as long as we know how many steaks to order we can plan accordingly. The cut-off date for ordering is Wednesday, June 16. Last year Club members had a great time and were treated to great food and tremendous hospitality by the Church folk. So, pre-order you steaks and come on out and cruise with us this Friday.

Our next cruise will be in Dunlap this Saturday at the American Legion Hall from 5 to 9pm. As always, there will be good music and food available. Hope to see you there!

Our next cruise is Hooters on May 29 from 5-9. We finally got nice weather for Culvers in Morton this last weekend and had a really nice turnout of cars lets hope we can get a repeat of weather and a huge turnout for Sat. nite. Also the Rusty Rockers are having a cruise on Fri. the 28th at the old Shopko in E. Peoria from 6-9

This Saturday we will be in Morton at Culvers from 5 to 9pm. Scott Ireland will be our DJ and we look forward to the good food and music. See you there!

We had another great time at the Early Ford Show this year. We signed up quite a few new members and had lots of members renew their membership. We also sold a lot of our 2010 club tee shirts to people that just came out to enjoy the show. We are already looking forward to next year’s show!
